A day after its iOS 8.0.1 update started messing with iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus owners’ cellular service and Touch ID functionality, Apple has published an official statement on the issue.

“We apologize for the great inconvenience experienced by users, and are working around the clock to prepare iOS 8.0.2 with a fix for the issue, and will release it as soon as it is ready in the next few days.” a company spokesperson told The Verge.

Apple also offers a temporary workaround, which includes reinstalling iOS 8 through iTunes. You can find the instructions — quite similar to the workaround we’ve posted Wednesday — on the company’s Support page.

The workaround is far from perfect, as the Health app won’t work after you apply it. You’ll have to wait for the iOS 8.0.2 (hopefully) for it to be fixed.
