Big Data Mobile Fixed Usage Research – Hereunder I will describe the usage and forecast of big data, mobile and fixed usage of the networks according to the biggest network appliance delivery company CISCO in their VNI-reporting.

Western Europe – 2018 Forecast Highlights

In Western Europe, mobile data traffic will grow 7-fold from 2013 to 2018, a compound annual growth rate of 50%.

In Western Europe, mobile data traffic will reach 1.9 Exabytes per month by 2018, the equivalent of 475 million DVDs each month or 5,237 million text messages each second.

In Western Europe, mobile data traffic will reach an annual run rate of 22.8 Exabytes by 2018.

Western European mobile data traffic will grow 3 times faster than Western European fixed IP traffic from 2013 to 2018.
